The rustle of the leaves noted him to her presence, and lifted his eyes slightly up to look at her. She had her usual mischievous smirk on her face, no doubt planning on killing someone again, not seriously, but it was her. After a few moments she sat down beside him, and smiled a smile at him, he knew only a select few people ever saw, if they were as lucky as he, a slight breeze then rolled by rustled his hair, and blowing it back, revealing his one stitched eye. It was a serene Autumn day, the forest was quiet save a few animals that dared come out in such a dangerous forest as this. He commended them on their bravery and from time to time, found it worth his time to save them from the ensuing darkness. It was almost sunset, when she finally turned to him and spoke, he was so used to the serenity of the forest, that her words seemed to enter his head in a puzzle, as if in a different language. As his mind tried to decode what she had said to him, he turned to get a better view of her face, to only be meet by her arms wrapping around his torso and her scent enveloping his senses, he stiffened at the contact before wrapping his arms back around her, such contact, was not foreign between them, but still UN-expected at times. He let a grin spread across his face as he looked down at her, sure they were in this deadly world full of spies and assassins didn't mean they couldn't love each other, he leaned down to meet her lips with his, before he felt her arms slip away from him, falling backwards, his eyes widened in surprise the thought passing fleeting through his mind that she would fall, but was gone in a second, as was she. He blinked and looked around, another cool autumn wind blowing by, causing him to shiver abruptly, that's when he noticed his jacket was gone. She had stolen his jacket, that lil minx, as he stood to pursue her. He heard a laugh somewhere not to far away.
"This is just insurance to make sure, you don't miss our next mission" She called through the trees.
"More like a hostage!" He called back to her chuckling as he shouldered his sniper rifle, readying for the chase that would ensue.
Yep, just another Autumn day.
